Ana Simões Ferreira is a Partner and has been with Abreu Advogados since 2011, working mainly on public procurement and regulatory matters in the areas of the environment and health.
She has extensive experience in assisting various public entities in public procurement and contract enforcement procedures, mostly related to works, including objective modifications to contracts and requests to restore financial balance.
She also supports private entities in public procurement processes, advising on all stages of the procedure, including complaints and challenges.
She is particularly involved in matters relating to the health sector, namely the licensing of private units and the relationship between these and regulatory authorities and other public bodies, as well as the sale and acquisition of shareholdings in this sector.
She supports various entities in the area of waste management in matters related to licenses for their activities, including the necessary coordination with the sector’s regulatory authorities.
She also has extensive experience in general administrative litigation.
She is a guest lecturer on executive training courses at the Instituto Superior de Gestão in the area of public procurement: Advanced Public Management Course (CAGEP) and Public Management Training Course (FORGEP).
