Last week, NOVA Assembleia and ELSA U.LISBOA collaborated to organize an intensive Course on Green Energy Law and Economics, in which our coordinator, Professor Lucila de Almeida, featured as a speaker. The course covered important topics such as electric vehicles and mobility, project finance, market regulation, the tax aspects of energy law, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The course, completed over a course of three days, included speakers from academia, industry experts, and practicing lawyers. Professor Lucila de Almeida made valuable remarks on the topic of renewable energies, covering, on the last day of the course, the panel entitled ”ODS 7: Beyond Policies and Goals” alongside Dr. Tiago Corrêa do Amaral, Partner at Abreu Advogados. NOVA Green Lab was also present in the preparation of the course, as Assistant Researcher João Botelho was part of the organizing committee.

NOVA Assembleia is an association made up of NOVA School of Law students whose aim is to promote active citizenship and political involvement among fellow students. Among the tools offered by NOVA Assembleia are lectures, workshops, seminars and other events with experts in different areas of politics and law. In addition, the hub also has the function of fostering critical thinking and reflection on the topics discussed, helping to develop students’ ability to formulate solid and persuasive arguments.
