Professor Lucila de Almeida as Keynote Speaker at ELECPOR 20th Anniversary Conference

The Annual ELECPOR Meeting celebrating its 20th anniversary, themed “Future ON,” was a resounding success, highlighted by a keynote address from Professor Lucila de Almeida, Coordinator of NOVA Green Lab. The event, held on June 4, gathered industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the future of the energy sector, focusing on electrification.

Professor Lucila de Almeida’s presentation on the challenges of electrification from a legal perspective was praised for its clarity and engagement. Her insights provided a comprehensive understanding of the legal intricacies involved in advancing electrification, making her talk one of the high points of the conference.

The “Future ON” conference marked a significant milestone for ELECPOR, underscoring the innovations, challenges, and future directions of the energy sector. Key topics included the challenges of electrification from both European and national perspectives, the importance of generation and distribution for supply security, and discussions on the future of electricity in a clean, decarbonized, accessible, and secure energy system.
