Mª Catarina Mendonça

Mª Catarina Mendonça has a degree in Law and is a Master’s student in Litigation and Arbitration at NOVA School of Law, currently working on her dissertation.

Catarina has been involved in civic projects from an early age, and during her Law degree she co-founded and served as Vice-President of “Núcleo NOVA Assembleia”, a platform that aims to put young people at the centre of the debate on the future. She also had the opportunity to be selected as a Youth Representative, joining the working group on access to renewable energies in developing countries at the United Nations Office at Geneva and the University of Geneva.

In view of her growing interest in climate issues, she has been deepening her research in this area and attending a number of seminars and workshops on environmental law.
