A cooperation protocol was signed between NOVA Green Lab and the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) regarding the implementation of the Basel Convention on the control of transboundary movements of hazardous waste and their disposal and the Espoo Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a transboundary context and the Kiev Protocol on Strategic Environmental Assessment, under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Under this protocol, it was also made possible to hire a research fellow for the collaboration between NOVA Green Lab and APA, embodied in the call for Research Grant No. 6/2022 of CEDIS and having the corresponding grant programme started in October 2022.
